1. Developer & Application Information
Rolling Alarm is developed, published, and maintained by Casella Web. We believe in complete privacy and transparency; our software is built from the ground up to respect user autonomy and confidentiality.
2. Zero Data Collection & User Safety
Rolling Alarm operates entirely locally on your device.- No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, capture, store, encrypt, transmit, or share any personal user information (such as names, emails, phone numbers, or contacts).
- No Analytics or Tracking: The app contains no third-party tracking software, advertising identifiers, behavioral telemetry, or analytics SDKs.
- No Location Information: The app does not access, monitor, request, or record your GPS or coarse network location.
- No External Server Transmission: All alarm configurations, schedules, sounds, preferences, and state data remain exclusively within your device's local storage and are never uploaded to any remote server or third party.
3. Device Permissions & Usage
Rolling Alarm requests only standard, local device permissions strictly necessary to deliver its core alarm and timer functionalities:
- Exact Alarms (
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM): Required by Android to trigger alarms and notifications at the exact scheduled minute and second requested by the user, bypassing standard operating system battery optimization delays. - Background Execution & Wake Lock (
WAKE_LOCK): Necessary to ensure the alarm audio and ringtone sound reliably when the device is locked or in sleep/doze mode. - Notifications & Full-Screen Alerts (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS / USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): Used exclusively to display active alarm banners, upcoming alarm reminders, and full-screen alarm dismissal/snooze interfaces when an alarm goes off. - Run at Startup (
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Allows the app to automatically restore and reschedule your configured alarms when your device reboots. - Vibration (
VIBRATE): Enables optional physical vibration feedback when an alarm or timer is ringing.
None of these permissions are used to collect data or monitor device activity outside of active alarm operations.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Rolling Alarm does not integrate with any third-party ad networks, tracking platforms, or monetization partners. Your usage is completely private and unmonitored.
5. Children's Privacy
Because Rolling Alarm does not collect, retain, or transmit any personal data from any user, it is safe for users of all ages and fully complies with global child privacy standards, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
